Norah Jones (born Geethali Norah Jones Shankar (Hindi: गीताली नोरा जोन्ज़ शंकर) on March 30, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, and occasional actress of Anglo-American and Indian-Bengali descent. She is the daughter of sitarist Ravi Shankar and half-sister of Anoushka Shankar.[1]
